How I Stopped Chasing Success and Started Chasing Meaning

Feeling Stuck Despite a “Good” Career

For years, I told myself I was fine. I had a good career, worked hard, and ticked all the boxes — but something felt off. I was bored, restless, and searching for something I couldn’t quite name.

I changed jobs, hoping the next role would reignite my spark. It never did.

Finding Inspiration in an Innovation Role - and Facing Fear

Eventually, I landed a role in innovation that I loved - creativity, fresh ideas, the kind of work that made me excited to get up in the morning. But the organisation wasn’t ready for change. I could see that progress wouldn’t happen anytime soon, and I felt frustrated.

At the same time, I was scared. Scared to leave a stable role. Scared that I’d made the wrong choices. And guilty - guilty for even thinking about walking away from a career I’d worked so hard to build.

I realised I needed space to figure out what I really wanted next.

The Perfect Opportunity: Social Impact Volunteering Abroad

I started exploring social impact opportunities and discovered a role volunteering as a social impact consultant in Sri Lanka. It was perfect: I could contribute meaningfully while living abroad, giving myself the time and distance to reflect on the next chapter of my life.

Personal Development work including walking on fire - it was very hot!

Living and working alongside others at their own life crossroads was transformative. We reflected deeply, shared honest conversations, and did personal development work that shifted my perspective.

For the first time, I began to see a path forward that wasn’t dictated by fear or guilt - a path guided by clarity, freedom, and action.

My fellow volunteers - we were all searching for our ‘what’s next?’

Giving Myself Permission to Follow a Long-Held Dream

When I returned home, I finally gave myself permission to pursue another long-held dream: training as a personal trainer. It felt like starting fresh — but in the best possible way.

That decision was the first step in what’s now been an eight-year journey of building a career that truly fits me. Over time, I evolved from personal training into movement coaching and remedial therapy — work that combines everything I value: problem-solving, human connection, and helping people move and feel better in their bodies. It’s work that feels deeply aligned, purposeful, and real.

Looking back, I realise it all came down to permission. Not the permission someone else gives you — the permission you give yourself. Everything started to change the moment I stopped trying to fit into the life I’d built and began creating the one I actually wanted.

Why I Do This Work Now

That’s why I do this work now: to help women reconnect with what’s truly important to them, rediscover their spark, and give themselves permission to design a life that feels fully theirs - whether that’s through career change, travel, stepping out of a relationship that no longer serves them, or finally pursuing a long-held dream.

By facing fear, releasing guilt, and leaning into clarity, freedom, and action, my clients step into a life that finally feels like theirs.

Everything changed for me when I stopped trying to fit into a life that didn’t feel right — and started creating the one I truly wanted.

If you’re standing at that same crossroads, I can help you find the clarity and confidence to move forward.
